Sodexo is a global leader in food services and integrated facilities management, employing over 400,000 people across more than 50 countries. Their UK operations support a wide range of sectors — from corporate and healthcare to education and defence — with a strong focus on improving quality of life and workplace wellbeing.
Our design remit was to create a new office space for Sodexo’s Stevenage team within a reduced footprint, accommodating 30 desks, a large social and teapoint area, five internal meeting rooms for up to five people each, a boardroom, a wellbeing room, and phone booths to provide spaces for private or less distracting calls.
The brief called for a design that reflects Sodexo’s brand identity in a subtle, tonal way, incorporating the company’s signature red and blue hues as gentle accents rather than bold statements. The scheme balances this palette with abundant greenery, soft finishes, and natural textures to create a sense of calm within the concrete surroundings of Stevenage.
We developed test fit plans for multiple layout options and progressed the design for the first floor of Kings Court, ensuring that the flooring and finishes flow seamlessly from the focal reception area through the wider workspace. The result is a welcoming, contemporary, and practical environment that supports collaboration, wellbeing, and productivity.
