From concept through to completion, the team demonstrated professionalism, creativity and exceptional attention to detail. They took the time to understand our requirements, worked collaboratively throughout the project, and delivered a high-quality office environment that exceeded our expectations. It has been a pleasure working with them and we would happily recommend their services."
John Lee | Asset Manager | Kier Group
Ralph + Smith were appointed by Mantle Projects to design Kier Group’s new office at Chapel House, Thremhall Park, leading the interior design from concept through the RIBA stages to completion, alongside furniture specification and supply. The scheme brings warmth and flexibility to a key regional hub for Kier’s Construction Eastern & Midlands division.
Created for more than 30 staff, the workspace balances hot-desking with a varied mix of meeting, project and informal collaboration settings. A dedicated project room supports workshops and team working, while the welcoming kitchen forms the social heart of the office, with touchdown spaces extending its role throughout the day.
A softer interpretation of Kier’s brand identity shapes the material palette. Warm paint finishes, textured carpet, wall panelling and warm-white glazing frames create a calm backdrop, enriched by terracotta and soft pink accents in the breakout areas.
The result is a professional yet inviting workplace, where considered design details support everyday comfort, connection and future growth.
